The Germans made use of existing fortification on Jersey Island. As they did with Fort Heny. The Fort was built in 1758 at the Royal Bay of Grouville. They added platforms for Machineguns and such.
An anti-tank wall was built at the seaside together with two Regelbau 670 gun bunkers for two 10,5 cm Kanone 331 (f). Ditches and barbed wire around the fort and staggered stakes, barbed wire and mines at the seaside.
Besides the two French guns there were two 5 cm French mortars at this Widerstandsnest, six machineguns, ten flamethrowers, two 30 cm searchlight, one 60 cm searchlight and one 40 cm.
Bring a helmet ! There is a golf course around Fort Henry so pay attention for your own savety. You can visit the area but you cannot enter Fort Heny or the Casemates, Maybe the Jersey War Tours can give more information.
