Fort Henry
During World War Two the German Army made use of the existing fortifications of Jersey Island. As they did with Fort Henry. The Fort was built in 1758 at the Royal Bay of Grouville. The Germans modified the old Fort by adding platforms for machine guns and anti-aircraft defense.

German constructions
To upgrade the defenses an anti-tank wall was built at the seaside together with two Regelbau 670 bunkers for two French 10,5 cm Kanone 331 (f). Around Fort Henry ditches together with barbed wire and staggered stakes were placed. At the seaside barbed wire and mines were placed.
