

A small hexagonal base can be seen on the cliff above the searchlight emplacement. There was a fast firing 6-pounder gun mounted at this location during WW2. The gun was camouflaged as a “destroyed building” to keep it from being spotted by German planes.



The 6-pounder Hotchkiss gun had a range of over 4 miles.
