
The entrance from the sea toward the village of Beer is protected by a non-standard pillbox camouflaged with local stone. During the war it had a tin hut on top, today it is covered with flagstones and benches creating a lookout for the tourists.



Pillbox at Beer seafront – Beer, United KingdomThe pillbox on the seafront has five five embrasures which have a field of fire towards the sea and the Beer seafront. A British M14 sea mine is placed nearby as a memorial. These mines can be found along the coast and are used as collecting boxes to support the dependents of those lost at sea, the sick, disabled and retired fisherman and mariners in need.


Visit
The pillbox can be seen from the road next to it, parking spots are near. The sea mine is positioned on top of the pillbox, just follow the stairs.
