The work is part of the Italian Alpine Wall constructed between 1930 and 1942 on the orders of Benito Mussolini, against a possible invasion of Nazi Germany during World War Two.

The work is comprised of three concrete MG-stands connected by a lengthy concrete enforced trench that was partly covered with wooden logs and sand bags. The northwest MG-stand of the work has a barracks building attached. The latter part of the trench towards the MG-bunker on the south side was left uncovered. The bunkers were designed to withstand hits from medium calibre guns.
