Bunker (Ita: Opera) XII is located at the right flank of the anti-tank wall of the Pian dei Morti barrier, in the upper Venosta Valley, in Alto Adige (South Tyrol). The work is part of the Italian Alpine Wall constructed between 1930 and 1942 on the orders of Benito Mussolini.

The nicely camouflaged bunker lies somewhat more elevated and further back on the eastern slope from bunkers XV and XIV. It is a concrete single MG-stand designed to provide protection against small-calibre artillery fire. The bunker is connected to a concrete barracks building through a long trench that is partly covered by wooden logs, sand bags and concrete slabs.

Although the bunker construction was finished, it was never equipped with armament or technical installations.
