W28, Widerstandsnest 28 – La Crabiere
The two WaKofest type 631 bunkers for the 4,7 Festung PaK K 36(t) are integrated in the anti-tank wall in a flanking position. They cover the beach sideways instead of frontal towards the sea. This position gives them frontal protection from the concrete bunker but while firing sideways they hit the enemies vehicles weaker side which gives them the advantage.
Next to the two PaK stands a single Regelbau 646 water supply bunker at Widerstand La Crabiere.
Visit
Resistance nest La Crabiere is easy to visit. A carpark can be found a short walk to the south at Widerstandnest High Tower or park near the Widerstandsnest Lewis Tower to the north and stroll over the Anti-tank wall or over the beach.
