Widerstandsnest 29 High Tower at St Ouen’s Bay – Jersey, United Kingdom

Widerstandsnest High tower is located at the beachfront further South of Widerstandnest Kemp Tower, where the beach becomes wider and more suited for a landing. The position has two WaKoFest type 631 bunkers for 4.7cm Pak K 36(t) integrated inside the old sea wall. For its construction the original Napoleonic round tower was removed. Kind of ironic that Widerstandsnest High Tower lacks its tower.

Next to the Type 631 bunkers, the Widerstandsnest had a WaKoFest Jägerstand for a French 10.5cm K 311(f) gun, two mortar and machine gun stands with Vf Mg munitions bunker, a WaKoFest Gruppenunterstand (group shelter), a 40 cm searchlight stand and a medium flame thrower stand.

Visit

You find the bunkers integrated in the beach entrance, all sealed up. The Widerstandsnest has a car park.
