
The cemetery holds 2876 fallen of the first World War (1914 – 1918). A mass grave holds 540 soldiers of whom 451 are unidentified.
At the end of the Second World War this cemetery was used by French Military authorities to gather the German dead that were scattered in temporary graves in an area of a 20km radius.
