Reinhard Heydrich was a high-ranking Nazi SS officer and one of the key architects of the Holocaust. As head of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA), he oversaw the implementation of the Final Solution, organizing the mass extermination of Jews and other targeted groups. Heydrich also played a crucial role in the Wannsee Conference of 1942, which formalized plans for the genocide. He was appointed Protector of Bohemia and Moravia, where he implemented brutal repression. Heydrich was assassinated by Czech resistance operatives in 1942, an act which led to severe Nazi reprisals.
