The Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) was a Czechoslovak-designed light tank adopted by Germany after occupying Czechoslovakia in 1939. Originally the LT vz. 38, it was reliable, well-armed with a 37mm gun, and saw early success in Poland, France, and the Soviet Union. Later, its chassis was adapted for tank destroyers like the Hetzer.
