Fritz Todt was a German engineer and senior Nazi official, known for his role in military construction and infrastructure projects during World War II. He founded the Organisation Todt, which was responsible for large-scale engineering works, including the Westwall (Siegfried Line), Atlantic Wall, and road networks like the Autobahn. In 1940, he was appointed Reich Minister for Armaments and Munitions, overseeing wartime production. Todt played a central role in coordinating industry for the Nazi war effort. He died in a plane crash on February 8, 1942, and was succeeded by Albert Speer.
