
This memorial has been erected on German bunker “Widerstandsnest 72” at Omaha Beach and commemorates the actions of the National Guard during World War Two.

A separate plaque comemorates the National Guard Units who participated in the assault landing at Omaha Beach on D-Day 6th and the 7th of June 1944.
