This 6-pounder anti-tank gun emplacement on the river Ax near Axminster is one of 16 on the Taunton Stop Line. This is an anti-tank gun emplacement with the strange feature of a concrete block that bisects the arc of fire from the massive main embrasures. The gun had a range of 600 yards, 550 meters and defended the open farmers fields on the other side of the Ax river. The bunker has a metal gun stand and a 180 degrees field of view.
