Battery Oldenburg was a German coastal defense installation located near the Normandy coast during World War II. Part of the Atlantic Wall, it housed large naval guns designed to defend against Allied naval assaults. The battery was active during the D-Day landings in June 1944, but was heavily bombarded and neutralized by Allied forces during the invasion.
