Holocaust

The Holocaust was the systematic, state-sponsored genocide of six million Jews by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945. It was implemented through policies of forced deportation, ghettos, mass shootings, and extermination camps such as Auschwitz, Treblinka, and Sobibor. The Nazi regime also targeted other groups, including Romani people, disabled individuals, Poles, Soviet POWs, and political dissidents. Coordinated by the SS and various government agencies, the Holocaust used industrialized methods of killing and surveillance. It remains one of the most documented and analyzed genocides in history, representing a central component of Nazi ideology and World War II atrocities.
