Juno Beach was one of the five landing sites during the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944, in Normandy, France. It was assigned to Canadian forces, primarily the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade. Despite heavy resistance, they successfully captured the beach, contributing to the Allied victory.
