
This monument was erected in 1999 in honor of the US 740th “Daredevil” Tank Battalion and the citizens of Neufchateau and Mortroux to commemorate the relationship between the Belgian citizens and the garrisoned Tank Battalion and their heroic actions in the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of Europe during World War Two.
