This Naval observation tower was connected to the Coastal Batterie Lothringen. It is one of the three unique observation towers completed at Jersey. This Coastal Battery from the Kriegsmarine was situated on the Noiront Point on the Channel Island Jersey in the United Kingdom. The tower is 16 meters high and has 6 levels.
A window less lower floor and four floors with viewing slits. Each of these rooms guided fire a of single 15 cm gun in the Lothringen Battery. On top was an open rooftop with a 2 cm Anti-Aircraft gun. A personnel bunker was directly next to it.

The Kriegsmarine Peilstand und Messtellung 1 is free to visit, the outside that is. Just park the car at the car park above at the Kriegsmarine Peilstand und Messtellung at Battery Lothringen. If you like to see the inside you can try to contact the Jersey War Tours and find out if they have a guided tour inside this MP 1 or one of the other towers, the Naval observation tower MP 2 at Corbiere to the west, or the Naval observation tower MP 3 near Les Landes to the north.
In the meanwhile enjoy the great scenery of the Jersey cliffs.
