War Cemetery Bendingbostel
On Friedhof Bendingbostel, cemetery Bendingbostel, near Kirchlinteln rest 45 German soldiers. These are war graves from World War 2. At this field of honor rest 42 German soldiers from the Panzer Grenadier Battalion 45. There are six unidentified graves and three civilians burials. Most of the fallen died during the fighting around the village Bendingbostel on 16 and 17 April 1945, others lost their lives during Allied air raids. The youngest soldiers on this plot were only 16 years old. The German war graves are on a separate plot on the town’s community cemetery, close to the entrance.
