A small Widerstandsnest (resistance nest) is located on the French coast near Vaucottes. It consists of several structures, such as a Tobruks and observation posts. The Tobruk is situated on the eastern cliff, together with Vf Beobachtung (a specialist observation) overlooking the small beach, alongside a smaller observation position. In the valley, there is a Vf Schartenstand (reinforced field-style casemate), a second Tobruk, and a FA Unterstand (simplified shelter) lies between the top and the schartenstand. Atop the western cliff stands a Vf Schnabelstand observation bunker that shows signs of combat damage. Both Tobruks are 58c types.
Visit
Walk from the beach at Vaucottes along the footpath to the clifftop campsite near Yport. The Schabelstand is situated on the edge of the cliff and is clearly visible from the path.
