The Oder-Warthe-Bogen, also known as the Festungsfront im Oder-Warthe-Bogen or East Wall, was a German defensive line constructed between 1934 and 1944 near Międzyrzecz in western Poland. It consisted of concrete bunkers, tunnels, and anti-tank obstacles designed to protect Germany’s eastern border. The fortifications were heavily fortified with steel-reinforced concrete and connected by an extensive underground system. In January 1945, during the Soviet Vistula-Oder Offensive, the Red Army breached the line with heavy artillery and armored assaults.
