W52, Widerstandsnest 52 – Le Braye
There is a big entrance towards the beach these days. you can drive the car upon the beach but we have no idea how it was back then. Two machinegun position are built at the sea wall’s side with their gun ports integrated in the wall. The 4.7cm Festung Pak K 36(t) gun port is integrating in the wall as well, covering the anti-tank wall to the north.
The Widerstandsnest has a WaKoFest 631 bunker for the 4,7 cm Anti-Tank gun, two VF machinegun positions, a OB GRW – a observation and 50 mm Granatwerfer / mortar position and a FA garage for the 40cm searchlight and a flame thrower. There was a 3,7 cm French tank turret at WN. La Braye, but it was removed after the war, probably from a French FT Tank.

There is a car park nearby and it is free to visit. They bigger bunker is not open for public.
