Opposite the Horsa monument—which lists the pilots and commanders involved in the battle for the Horsa Bridge—stands a memorial dedicated to the gliders and units that engaged the German occupiers during the very first combat actions of D-Day in Normandy.

The monument is positioned at the foot of the bridge, on the western side, between the Hors and Pegasus bridges.
