Germany reluctantly tried to get the manufacturing rights for this successful high altitude reconnaissance aircraft which had it’s maiden flight in 1939. It had a crew of two, one pilot and one observer, both had their own cockpit seperated by a fuel tank. This type, the Ki-46-III had two Mitsubishi Ha-112 engines and had a top speed of 630 km/h at 6000m high. This Mitsubishi Ki-46-III Type 100 Dinah is the sole survivor of the 1742 build. It was captured in Malaya and was part of the RAF St. Athan collection before passing to the RAF Cosford location.

“Part of the RAF St. Athan collection before passing on to England”? It moved between RAF Museums, nothing to do with countries
