The small burial plot is dedicated to forced laborers who lost their lives while working at the Schandelah-Wohld concentration camp, located 2.5 kilometers away near the German village of Cremlingen-Schandelah.
Ninety-seven of the 200 victims are buried in the Scheppau cemetery; these men were not repatriated to their home countries and were laid to rest here.
Visit
The cemetery is open during daylight hours; the grave plot is located furthest from the entrance in the small cemetery.
