Gepanzerte-MG-Träger Renault UE(f) was a converted Renault UE Chenillette, captured during or after the Battle for France, Fall Red. After the fall of France around 3000 Renault UE Chenillette fell into German hands. The germans called the foreign armor that were added to their ranks after winning a battle beutepanzer, literally booty tank, spoils of war.
Next to their original purpose of the Renault UE Chenillette they were used in different setups by the Wehrmacht. One conversion, like the one on the photos, was the Gepanzerte-MG-Träger Renault UE(f). It was converted to a machine gun carrying support vehicle. It sill has its original colors.
